As a Senior Consultant - DevOps Engineer within the ELN Product Team, you'll be at the forefront of developing, validating, integrating, and maintaining Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELNs). Your mission will be to design and implement seamless integrations between various applications and the ELN, ensuring efficient data flow and communication. Accountabilities:
In this pivotal role, you'll ensure the smooth operation and optimization of ELN systems within our scientific research environment. Collaborate with scientific teams to enhance ELN configurations, fostering collaboration and data sharing. Set up monitoring tools for proactive issue resolution, minimizing disruptions in research workflows. Implement ELN-specific security practices to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance. Work closely with researchers to understand ELN requirements and optimize integrations with lab tools. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ELN configurations and integrations. Embrace a pragmatic, hands-on mentality while identifying knowledge gaps and raising them.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Experience with process tools like GIT, JIRA, Confluence and CI/CD tools.
Experience with Kubernetes, GitOps, Infrastructure as code, monitoring/observability concepts and related tools.
Experience in building applications incorporating cloud (AWS), API’s, microservices, containerisation and serverless architectures.
Experience of delivering and supporting software in a DevOps environment.
Exposure to analytics tools like Power BI (Business Intelligence).
Excellent problem solving and adaptability.
Willing to work in cross-cultural environment across multiple time zones.
Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team to achieve objectives.
Eager to learn and develop new tech skills, as required.
Good written and verbal skills, fluent English.
Advanced experience with ELN platforms and their technical integration into biopharmaceutical laboratory workflows.
Expertise in handling scientific data formats, laboratory instrument integrations, and industry-specific technical compliance standards.
Familiarity with advanced GxP regulations and practices.
